1. Different platform for Students, Teachers, Parents and School Management
2. Over 2,00,000 fun and gamified math tasks.
3. Weekly exercise programs for K-12
4. Weekly workflow for the teachers
Attempt Lesson independently on the platform
The lesson has been divided into three types of assignments: preliminary assignments, joint assignments and bonus assignments. Preliminary and bonus assignments are hidden from the students, unless the teacher activates them separately. There are 150+ different exercise types in Education platform and they might have different logic.
Students complete exercises that are organized into topical weekly lessons. Each lesson contains 25-30 exercises (or 250-350 calculations). The minimum goal, by default, is to complete at least half of the exercises. This gives students a lot of autonomy to choose suitable exercises of their liking. By completing exercises, students gather points. The whole process is made visible to students so they know how much work they have already completed and how much work is still needed. This leads to students taking more responsibility over their learning and makes it easy for the teacher to set and track goals for the student. The whole process of completing lessons and gathering points is gamified using trophies. Students can achieve bronze (50%, minimum requirement), silver (75%), gold (90%) or diamond (100%) trophies from lessons.
Attempt Lesson in collaborative mode on platform
The collaborative mode motivates students as they can play with their friends. This is also a good option if a school does not have enough devices for every student. Two students can work on one computer solving the problems together. Both students will get the achieved points and they can later continue independently if they wish to do so.
Editing Lessons
Teachers can not only open a lesson, but can also edit a lesson by changing the order of assignments or rounds. She can also search and add contents from any other grade course as per the requirement of the curriculum.
Setting Trophies Level
The teacher can change the performance limits and can set trophy limits for student either by percentage or by points. Also, trophy limits can be set individually for each student by choosing personal limits as per the progress of each student on the platform.
Learning Analytics
Easy tracking of student goals, progress, strengths and weaknesses
Education learning analytics provides real-time insights to students’ learning. The teacher can view the progress of the students individually or as a group. Education automatic misconception analysis, skill mapping, accuracy level enables the teacher to focus on the students and topics that need the help most.
Using Differentiation - Remedial/Challenge Group
Education platform makes it very easy for the teacher to group their students according to their learning level. There are three groups: warm-up group (preliminary assignments), main group (assignments) and challenge group (bonus assignments). The warm-up group offers slightly easier exercises, and the challenge group includes more challenging exercises. Most of the students should remain in the main group, but the teacher is encouraged to move students between groups to make sure every student has a suitable amount of challenge. The main group for each lesson includes most of the exercises, and all students see the main group exercises. In addition, each lesson also includes extra exercises for both warmup and challenge groups that are visible only to the students in those groups. The teacher can move individual exercises between groups. The students themselves do not see which group they are in.
Bloom's Taxonomy Educational Learning Objectives
Education platform allows educators to assess learning on a variety of cognitive levels. It also helps the teacher to map the content to tasks that students need to perform. It helps educators identify achievable learning goals and evaluate learning on an ongoing basis, encouraging students to reflect on their progress.
Assessment or Exam on the platform
Electronic exams are a great way to test students’ skills and reduce the assessment work of a teacher. A lot of typical exam questions are easily assessed automatically. In addition to electronic exams a teacher may also conduct a smaller traditional test including exercises that are not possible to assess automatically. On the platform, Time limit allows to set a fixed duration for the exam even if all the students do not open the exam exactly the same time and Default Math Exercise Difficulty, limits the difficulty levels for the students. The exam monitor helps to see which students have already started the exam, which students have finished it and which haven’t even started yet. When the exam is finished, the results can be published. And once published, students can access the lesson again but this time they can only see their answers and scoring.
Learning Analytics
One of the most important is the visualizations of students ’progress in different topics as well as their possible problems and misconceptions. One particularly useful area is time usage. If students ’time spent among different topics and concepts is visualized for parents as well, they can make better decisions based on the data shared with them through a guardian report. Not only to allocate more time for studying, but often the opposite as learning happens while resting also.
Guardian Report and Diploma
Education platform keeps parents ‘in the loop ’using Artificial Intelligence. The teacher can generate regular reports of a child’s progress, so as to see how far they have come. The data in the reports is automatically collected and analyzed, however sending the reports is up to the teacher to do it manually. There are two reasons for this: First, reports can be sent for three different intervals, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly. Second, there is an open feedback field, which can be edited by the teacher.
Diplomas are generated by the teacher at the end of the year, on a single click for each student having details of the trophies and score achieved and shared with the parents. This also helps the parents and teachers to motivate students on achieving the milestones in the form of trophies and encourage them to do better for the next year.
Access to School Admin which is divided into two categories
1. School Statistics : Allows to access only analytics
School Admin - Allows to access all the user accounts, create new and deactivate existing accounts
2. School Overview :
The overview contains numbers for teacher and student activity over the selected time frame
A. Active Students - Students with at least one completed exercise.
B.Teacher - Number of teacher accounts
C. Courses - Number of courses with any activity during the selected time frame Lessons
Courses are divided into lessons. This number shows how many lessons have been made available for students over the selected time frame
D. Misconceptions graph shows the proportions of skills of the students – Excellent Skills, Moderate Skills, Needs Practice. Teachers have this same information for each of their students in their course analytics.
E. Weekly Tasks Completed, Weekly Scores, Weekly Time on Task, Weekly Submissions of teacher
F. Weekly Activity reveals how many student accounts were active during each week
G. Engagement describes how well students complete the minimum goal (bronze) on a weekly basis on average.
H. Courses show all active courses in the selected time frame. This table allows you to see easily how active each grade has been.
I. Accuracy shows a boxplot visualisation of the distribution of accuracy in the class. It shows the lower quartile, higher quartile, average with deviation and median.
J.Exercise Categories reveals how many exercises from each category have been completed by the students and what is the average accuracy of the students.
